SHARKS REFEREE OF THE MONTH | MARCH 2024

Sutherland Basketball Association is proud to announce the referee of the month for April 2024. Austin Crump has been moving along in leaps and bounds over the start of 2024 and has shown a brilliant standard of officiating and character during his development with the program.

Austin displays a high level of diligence and performance on the court and an eagerness to learn that moves him forward at an extremely rapid rate. His calm and friendly nature allows others in the referee program to work comfortably alongside him as a leader as he shares his skills and experiences with up-and-coming referees at the club. Austin has worked hard on his development and pathway over the past 4 months as a member of the Accelerated Referee Program (ARP) and has officiated events that include the NSW Summer Slam, MJL Pre-Season, and a debut on the MJL representative season stage.

Austin since starting refereeing in mid-2023 has already progressed to the Association Development level, officiating high-level representative games with less than a year`s experience under his belt, an outstanding achievement and a testament to the Accelerated Referee Program pathway and his hard work. Austin has performed tremendously at the domestic level, offering our members a great basketball experience which is a great service to the Sutherland basketball community.

Well done and congratulations Austin on a great start to your refereeing career. We thank you for your service to our club and members and look forward to seeing what the future holds for you. ...

ROUND 3 OF THE NBL1 IS COMING BACK TO THE SHARK TANK!

Round 1 of the @nbl1east season at the Shark Tank was electric thanks to our incredible Sharkies fans who showed up to support our players!

Our Women’s and Men’s teams kicked off with sensational wins, and the atmosphere was off the charts with a packed house and roaring crowd.

Don’t miss the excitement in Round 3 on Saturday April 20th, where our men and women will be back in action. The men’s game is a must see 2023 Grand Final rematch as our teams take on the Maitland Mustangs.
